emma at AWS re:Invent: A Week of Innovation, Engagement, and Success

AWS re:Invent 2024 took Las Vegas by storm from December 2–6, drawing over 54,000 attendees to participate in more than 2,300 sessions and hands-on workshops. It’s one of the largest and most influential tech events of the year, and emma was right in the thick of it all at Booth 1382.

It was an unforgettable week for emma. As the first-ever company from Luxembourg to participate in re:Invent—and with a speaking slot to boot—we were both proud and thrilled to showcase emma’s groundbreaking cloud management solution to cloud enthusiasts, partners, and customers.

Now that the buzz has settled, here’s a recap for everyone in the emma community eager to hear updates and anecdotes right from the heart of re:Invent!

Booth Highlights: Demos, Conversations, and Connections

Those who visited us at Booth No.1382, it was a pleasure meeting you all! You brought our booth to life with all the engaging conversations and live demo requests. It was beyond anything we could’ve imagined going in. Your energy and eagerness kept us going as we dove into discussions about multi-cloud complexity, cloud cost optimization, and so much more—topics that seemed to resonate so deeply with each one of you.

A special highlight was when Lucy from Tech with Lucy joined us for a meet-and-greet. Her visit brought a wave of excitement as her followers huddled around to meet her in person. A big shoutout to Lucy for sharing her insights and enthusiasm about emma with her community!

emma on Stage: “Becoming Cloud-Agnostic”

emma took the spotlight during a lightning talk session, Becoming Cloud-Agnostic. Who would’ve thought a topic like this would captivate an AWS audience at an event hosted by the very definition of vendor lock-in!

Dmitry Panenkov (CEO & Founder) and Matthias Lubken (Chief Product Officer) led the session, sharing insights on the challenges of vendor lock-in and the inefficiencies it creates. They highlighted the importance of the right architectural choices and how open-source tools can help achieve cloud independence and long-term efficiency and cost control.

The session struck a chord with attendees, leading many to flock to our booth afterwards to learn more about emma’s cloud-agnostic roots and multi-cloud potential.

Fireside Chats with Industry Experts

AWS re:Invent brought together some of the brightest minds in cloud computing, and emma was proud to be part of several thought-provoking discussions:

Enhancing Multi-Cloud Cost Management and FinOps Integration

Dmitry Panenkov and Matthias Lubken sat down with Jon Myers at AWS re:Invent 2024 for a charged discussion around FinOps in the age of multi-cloud. They talked about the need for strategies and tools to help integrate FinOps strategies with not just one or two clouds operating in silos but within a multi-cloud ecosystem where all constituent clouds are treated as one and workloads move freely across them all.

Navigating the Multi-Cloud Landscape

In a conversation with renowned enterprise technology expert David Linthicum, Dmitry unpacked how organizations can overcome multi-cloud complexities with a platform approach. Dmitry explained how, by centralizing and standardizing multi-cloud cloud operations and management, emma allows organizations to master multi-cloud complexity for a faster time-to-market, reduced costs, and competitive advantage.

Breaking Cloud Barriers with theCUBE

Later, Dmitry also joined Sid Nag, Vice President of Cloud and AI Services at Gartner Research, in an engaging discussion hosted by John Furrier of theCUBE. They shared their insights on the inevitability of multi-cloud and its transformative impact on enterprise technology. Dmitry explained how emma’s integrated networking, automation, and cost management solution is breaking down multi-cloud barriers, allowing organizations to focus exclusively on innovation rather than the underlying infrastructure powering it.

Expo and Networking

The expo floor provided a vibrant opportunity for emma to showcase our solutions, connect with industry leaders, and solidify partnerships. Photos and videos from the expo highlight the unique, high-energy environment and will serve as cherished memories for the entire emma team—until next time!

Closing Remarks from Dmitry

We wrapped up the week with special remarks and a heartfelt message from Dmitry. Becoming the first-ever Luxembourgian company to be a Gold Sponsor at a prestigious conference like AWS re:Invent is a milestone we all take pride in. It wouldn’t have been possible without the unwavering support of our government, who encouraged us at every step of the way.

Watch Dmitry’s inspiring message as the proud CEO of Luxembourg-based emma:

AWS re:Invent 2024 was an incredible experience for the emma team, and we can’t wait to be there again in 2025. From engaging discussions to impactful presentations, we were thrilled to share our vision for a cloud-agnostic future. Thank you to everyone who stopped by our booth, attended our sessions, or watched our interviews.

Stay tuned as we continue to redefine cloud strategies and unlock new possibilities for businesses worldwide!
